The judge is interested in knowing the impact this crime has had on you and your family.  In an effort to provide this information to the Court, we are enclosing a Victim Impact Statement. Although many crime victims experience similar feelings, questions, and concerns as a result of crime, no two victims  experience the same emotional, physical and financial impact. Only you can tell those of us involved in your case how you or those close to you have been affected by this crime. One way to do this is to prepare a victim impact statement. Not all victims are comfortable putting their thoughts on paper, and while you have the opportunity to complete an impact statement, you are under no obligation to do so.  If you have concerns or questions regarding the completion of your victim impact statement please contact Felice Weiler, Victim Witness Coordinator, at 312-886-4196 for assistance.  Please complete the victim impact statement by 14 days and forward to:

Just FYI, the sentencing hearing has been changed to 8/7/2014 at 12:30 PM.

  2. BW88 Says:

Saulnier’s sentencing hearing was held last week, but I’m still waiting on PACER for details to upload as to what the actual sentence was. Case documents show that he had family and friends vouching for him and requesting a lenient sentence from the court, but the prosecution was pushing hard for a guidelines sentence that mandates 2-3 years of prison time. Hopefully PACER will have updated case information this week.

  3. BW88 Says:

Per PACER: The defendant is hereby committed to the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons to be imprisoned for a total term of 24 months on Count 1. The defendant shall surrender for service of sentence at the institution designated by the Bureau of Prisons before 2 p.m. on 9/29/2014. Upon release from imprisonment, the defendant shall be on supervised release for a term of 2 years on Count 1. The defendant must pay the total restitution amount of $81,800.00. Schedule of payments.

That’s nice to know. What a shame this jerkoff had to get in there and greedily spoil what was such an exciting and joyful occasion. Oh well, I hope he thinks about this as he shuffles in and out of his prison cell. Any idea how, when, or if we will actually see money back?
